The Original Griddle Co. started with one obsession: the perfect smash. Thin edges, crispy lace, a proper sear. We set up in Langley and never looked back.



How It Started
We grew up believing a burger should taste like it was made by someone who cared. Not assembled. Not microwaved. Smashed — on a hot flat-top, by hand, the way it’s supposed to be.
So a while back, we built a trailer, fired up the griddle, and parked it in Langley. One griddle, fresh beef, and a refusal to cut corners. That was the whole plan. It still is.
What Makes a Smash
A smashburger isn’t just a thin burger. It’s a technique. We press fresh beef onto a screaming-hot flat-top so the edges caramelize into a crispy, lacy crust — that deep, beefy sear you can’t fake with a thick patty. Then American cheese, house sauce, pickles, diced onion, and a soft bun to hold it all together.
That’s the OG Smash. Everything else on the menu is built with the same stubborn attention to detail.
Fresh Beef, No Shortcuts
We use 100% fresh beef — never frozen, smashed to order. Our sauce is made in-house. Our standards don’t bend on a busy day. We’d rather run out than serve something we wouldn’t eat ourselves.
